Your equipment is gone. The forest is hungry.

Sent to investigate disappearances along an old woodland trail, the adventurers expect dangerous predators. They do not expect everything they wear and carry to vanish.

Stranded in the Webbed Hollow, they must recover their scattered possessions while giant spiders hunt overhead and two cunning ettercaps patrol the forest. Weapons hang in webs. Abandoned packs lie beneath tangled roots. Some discoveries offer a chance at survival. Others make excellent bait.

Not everyone in the Hollow wishes them harm—but telling friend from predator may require more than a drawn sword.

Nothing But Skin is a wilderness survival adventure for 3–5 characters of 3rd level, using the 2024 fifth-edition rules. Set in the Forest of Mir within Tales of Khassid, it combines unsettling woodland exploration with dark humor, improvisation, and an unusual scavenger hunt.

Inside the adventure

• Explore freely. Seven principal locations within approximately one square mile of woodland, with no required route.

• Recover what matters. An equipment-recovery system lets the GM plan meaningful discoveries while preserving uncertainty.

• Discover earlier victims’ belongings. Weighted cache-generation tables provide supplies, personal possessions, and occasional magical finds.

• Face an active hunting ground. Wandering creatures, environmental hazards, and roaming ettercaps respond to the party’s actions.

• Meet the Arechi. Original Fey inhabitants offer opportunities for cautious interaction, assistance, and shelter. Includes Arechi and Arechi Queen statistics.

• Choose your approach. Fight, sneak, improvise, withdraw, or recover possessions while the predators are elsewhere.
